Never Forget

TWO smash-hit musicals are returning to Newcastle next year, it was announced today.

Never Forget and Dancing in the Streets will be at the Journal Tyne Theatre in February and March respectively.

Tickets for the Take That- based musical Never Forget go on sale tomorrow, while the Motown blockbuster is already on sale.

In Never Forget, which was at the Theatre Royal last month, five young men enter a local talent competition, each looking for a way out and a step up.

Along the way they discover fame comes at a price but friendships last forever.

Never Forget features classic Take That songs, with a 21-strong company of dancers and singers, a local children’s choir of 20 and breathtaking special effects including a 24-foot curtain of rain.

It’s a care-free evening of sheer joy, unbelievable talent and a standing ovation every night.

Dancing in the Streets has been wowing audiences all over the UK and spent three years in London’s West End, and now its back!

The Dancing in the Streets company will recreate the energy, style and music of the stars of the Motown stable. Together they will certainly have you dancing in the aisles!

Experience the energy, the excitement, the emotion and the electricity of Motown in Ivor Novello award-winning director Keith Strachan’s production of the hit show.

Motown was a prominent force in breaking down barriers around the world and, equally as important, was responsible for producing some of the world’s most influential and enduring songs of the 20th century.

Dancing in the Streets will take you through the Motown repertoire, with classic hits including a selection of the following: I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Baby Love, My Girl, Dancing in the Streets, Shop Around, I’ll Be There, Signed Sealed Delivered I’m Yours, Where Did Our Love Go, What’s Going On, Please Mr Postman, Reach Out I’ll Be There, Stop In the Name of Love, You’re All I Need to Get By, Up Tight (Everything’s Alright), You Can’t Hurry Love, Tears of a Clown and Tracks of My Tears.
