Starters & Puds is an exciting new concept in leisurely eating.
Taking the best of savoury and sweet cuisine, mixing it with friendly yet distinctive surroundings and adding in a large helping of relaxed ambience.
You will find this successful eating experience right in the heart of Newcastle, adjacent to the Theatre Royal.
Open from 11:00am to 11:00pm, yuo'll be able to enjoy a morning coffee, unhurried lunch, a relaxed afternoon bite, an early evening get-together, pre-theatre dining or a night of good food and company.
All of this in an old bank below Shakepeare Street and next to Grey Street, an avenue of Georgian splendour.
You enter into an amazing world of barrel-vaulted ceilings, open brickwork and intriguing rooms, each with its own atmosphere.
Theres the lounge with its wonderful stone fireplace, the pillar room with its solid victorian strucures or what about the two attractive barrel rooms?
Our beautiful oak room with its panelled walls is ideal for booking a function or private dining/business meeting.
Our dining is a totally flexible and informal eating experience where you can order starter sized dishes to either eat separately, or share with others in a mediterranean style.
