ROSS Noble’s latest show is called Things, so here are a few things about Ross Noble. He’s from Cramlington, he’s 32, he’s married to an Australian, he just happens to be one of the funniest men in Britain and he’s one of only a handful of comedians who could play five consecutive nights at Newcastle City Hall.

And his shows are incredibly difficult to review!

You come away from a Ross Noble gig aching from laughter, but with a big smile on your face and a feeling of ‘what was that all about?’.

Ross picks subjects, starts chatting about them, then thinks of something else or spots something, starts chatting about that, then goes off on another tangent, and another, and then, incredibly, goes back to the first subject matter.

He has you in the palm of his hand throughout yet you’re not really there, as you are always that little bit off-guard wondering where he  is  going to next.

He’s barely been on stage a quarter of an hour and he’s already packed in enough material for a whole  show .

One thing  is  for certain, you certainly get value for money at a  Ross  Noble  show  – more than two hours of observational comedy at its peak.

Playing to a home crowd, you would expect a certain affection between the comedian and his fans, but I imagine he gets that everywhere he goes.

Ross has such an affable, personable persona on stage, while at the same time being this whirlwind of thoughts and stories.

You may be aching at the end, but you want more – much more – which  is  what he will be giving his fans for the next four nights at Newcastle City Hall.

I won’t spoil any surprises for you giving any of the game away. Truth be told, I don’t know if I could, even if I wanted to.

I have a feeling if I went again tonight, it would be an altogether different  show .

Such  is  the genius of  Ross  Noble.
