TEESSIDE comedy highlights in the week ahead include:

THE line-up at Big Mouth Comedy Club at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt tomorrow includes charmingly cheeky Mancunian TONY BURGESS and DAVE LONGLEY, whose meandering butterfly mind is making huge waves on the UK comedy circuit.

FUNNY Bones Comedy Club will be at the Forum Music Centre in Darlington tomorrow night.

JULIAN CLARY plays Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt on Sunday. A big part of the groundbreaking ’80s comedy explosion, he is still one of the best live comics around today.

ON Tuesday Durham’s Gala Theatre recaptures the genius of one of Britain’s best loved comedians.

MORECAMBE, THE MAN THAT BROUGHT US SUNSHINE commemorates the 25th anniversary of the legend’s final curtain call and follows Eric’s career from child performer to international star.

WRITER, director and comedian STEWART LEE has returned to the live circuit and will be at Darlington’s Arts Centre on Thursday.

His new show begins in a high street coffee chain and ends in a pear cider which is 100% disappointment.

The tour follows his acclaimed BBC TV series, Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle.

A CATCH 22 Special at Stockton’s Arc a week tonight features ALUN COCHRANE.

He will be in town with his new show a Daydreamer (At Night) which was the must see gig at the last Edinburgh Festival.

CHRIS ADDISON, from Bafta award-winning The Thick Of It, In The Loop, Skins and Lab Rats, is back with a new stand-up show.

He will be at Durham’s Gala Theatre a week today. Tickets are £15.

On the same night the venue will also welcome the Funny Bones comedy crew, with the line-up comprising Edinburgh Festival star PAUL KERENSA and rising star DANNY McLOUGHLIN. Tickets are £8.50.
