Come to the Cooperage for after party drinks and dancing or hire one of our function rooms for your works Christmas Bash.
The Cooperage dates back to the 13th Century and was known then as a rich merchants house only the Castle and its keep are older than this building.
First records are from the 15 th Century. This quaint magnificent building is now a pub/nightclub and is set on the famous Newcastle Quayside which of course is part of the fantastic Newcastle night scene.
The pub has an excellent reputation for real ales. It also specialises in private hire for functions or corporate events. The Cooperage also has specific events on certain night of the week.
The 200 capacity room is hired out for £100 per night and the 100 capacity room is hired out for £50 per night. There’s space for a live band or DJ, which can be provided at an extra cost or you may want to use your own band or DJ, which is fine too.
There’s a full PA system for your use. We can also arrange a buffet for your party. Although we have set menus starting at £4.50, we can tailor the menu to your party.
We are experts in making your party great. The service we provide is excellent and the atmosphere we create is Christmas Cracking.
If you’ve already booked your Christmas Party elsewhere, join us afterwards to party in to the early hours. We have some promotion nights that will have you dancing the night away.
Mondays from 10.30pm – Connection
This is an Indie and Alternative music Club night where we welcome local and national bands, new and established talent. Since we started Connection, it’s been growing and growing as the word has spread.
Fridays from 10pm
We play hard dance, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Dubster and the likes. We sometimes run Electro night and Gabba Nights. This is the night to really let your hair down.
Saturdays from 11pm
We have a floor devoted to Salsa, bringing all the colour, style and culture of Central & South America together. You don’t have to be able to Salsa dance, just ienjoy the rhythm. We also have a 60’s / 70’s Soul Funk Room for getting down to the groove.
